"SOMETHING familiar, something peculiar, something for everyone, a comedy tonight."
These lyrics from Stephen Sondheim's musical A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum sum up the Autumn season at the Talisman Theatre, Kenilworth, according to production director Sue Teers.
The season starts on September 21 with the aforementioned A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and ends with the best loved of all pantomimes, Cinderella, from December 28 to January 11.
In between there is the zany comedy The Nerd from October 21 to October 26, the gripping drama The Handyman from November 18 to 23 and, for one night only, the professional West End production of An Elegant Madness, about the downfall of Beau Brummell and his raffish manservant Austin.
"The music and laughter that takes us through September and October changes to suspense and pathos in November, and the curtain comes down on our sixth birthday year with the happiest fairytale of all," said Sue.
Tickets and information is available from the box office on 01926 856548.
