A ONE-WOMAN show based on the works of Jane Austen and an Oscar-winning film are among forthcoming attractions at the Picture Playhouse at Blockley over the next two months.
Courtship, on Thursday, September 12, is being presented by the Wessex Actors' Company and stars Kim Hicks, who will provide amusing insights into the world of romance and marriage, as depicted by Jane Austen.
The production was first staged at the Edinburgh Festival and has since toured the country, including the Theatre Royals in Bristol and Bath.
A Beautiful Mind, the Hollywood film starring Russell Crowe, runs on Thursday, October 10.
It portrays the life of mathematical genius and paranoid-schizophrenic, John Nash.
On Thursday, October 24, the Picture Playhouse stages The Snow Queen, a new version of the classic fairytale, updated with original music and songs, by the Wessex Actors' Company.
