MAY I add my name to what I am sure will be a never ending list of people who are dissatisfied with the recently opened household waste site.
On my first, and as yet my only, visit I queued a considerable length of time, only to find that the 'green waste' skip was full to the brim.
I am 5ft tall and in my seventies so heaving bags of grass cuttings on top of a full skip was totally beyond me. Had it been an empty skip my lack of height would have been a problem as due to barriers (on which we are instructed we must not stand) which means I am at a greater disadvantage due to having to stretch across an open space.
I must admit I struggled to empty the first of seven bags of green waste into the correct skip then chucked the next six into whatever skip I could reach.
For three years I have lived in Wyre Piddle and taking my green waste to the dump had been a pleasurable occupation.
Not any more, I shall dread cutting our lawns and having to face the new site. I remain yours sincerely, one unhappy old woman.
MRS MAVEDA DUNCAN, George Lane, Wyre Piddle.
