THE recent Labour newsletter distributed in Church Hill clearly indicates that Councillor Hartnett has failed to grasp the political reality at the town hall.
In the May local elections, the electorate voted for a balanced council where no political party has overall control.
In fact, as the figures show, 14 Labour, 12 Conservatives and three Liberal Democrats, the Liberal Democrats hold the balance of power.
By using the term ''your Labour council'' in his leaflet, Councillor Hartnett shows that he is living in the past.
Isn't it about time he woke up and smelled the coffee?
