NCCPG : (National Council for the Conservation of Plants and Gardens), Worcestershire group. June, July and August was visiting time for the NCCPG members and friends. First to Ivycroft at Ivington near Leominster where despite the weather all enjoyed the evening. Our annual garden party at Gorsehill Abbey Farm near Broadway was damp but the wine and marvellous buffet still tasted good and the garden looked delightful, followed by the August visit to Barnards Green House near Malvern where the welcome was warm and garden colourful.

The end of summer is fast approaching and we look forward to starting our autumn meetings on September 10 with Martin Rickard talking about ferns and showing some of his wonderful slides. Martin is well known for winning numerous Gold Medal Awards at Chelsea.

HERITAGE AND HISTORY SOCIETY: Will hold the next monthly meeting at 7.30pm on Thursday, September 5 at Wulstan Hall, Priest Lane, Pershore. The speaker will be Maurice Clarke and the subject is Token coinage of Worcestershire and Warwickshire. There will be a raffle, tea and coffee available and everyone is welcome. Admission is free to members and £1 for visitors.
