FIREFIGHTERS were called to a fuel spillage in a country lane after a road accident yesterday.
One crew from Worcester's Green Watch spent around an hour dealing with the red diesel spillage after the crash on the Martley to Broadheath Road.
The accident, which involved a tipper lorry and a car, happened at around 4.50pm, close to the Masons Arms at Wichenford.
After the vehicles were thoroughly checked over, sand was put down on the road to absorb the diesel and to stop the risk of further fire.
One man was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital by ambulance after the crash, but details of his injuries or condition were unavailable as the Evening News went to press.
