CREATIVE youngsters in Droitwich Spa are being given the perfect opportunity to put their skills to the test during a one-off poetry and writing session at the library.
Professional poet and performer Simon Pitt will present Blast Off tomorrow (Thursday) at the Victoria Square library.
The 10am session, aimed at the over sixes, will give children the chance to play with the theme of space and planets in a practical workshop.
Simon will also read poetry, comedy items, stories and will perform in a rapping show.
Worcestershire County Council's assistant arts officer, Anne Langford, said: "Simon Pitt is a real expert in his field and we're delighted that he's coming to Droitwich. We're expecting a day of great fun and a chance to learn from Birmingham's Poet Laureate from the year 2000.
"Parents are welcome to come with their children and enjoy the show but I'd advise booking to avoid disappointment."
