A youth and community worker has been cleared at Worcester Crown Court of passing counterfeit £5 notes in Droitwich.
Prosecutor William Rickarby offered no evidence against 33-year-old Anthony O'Neill when the case came before the court for trial.
Mr O'Neill, of Hawford Place, Droitwich, had pleaded not guilty to one charge of passing a counterfeit note and two of tendering forgeries.
Mr Rickarby said that the notes were of such good quality that they could have deceived anybody. In addition, there was evidence that Mr O'Neill was not in Droitwich on the date the notes were allegedly passed.
Recording not guilty verdicts, Judge Ian Morris said Mr O'Neill could leave court with his character unblemished.
