KIDDERMINSTER Harriers manager Ian Britton is tipping former Aggborough chief Jan Molby to guide Hull City to promotion from the Nationwide League Division Three.

"I think they will be there or there abouts," said Britton, who took over from the ex-Liverpool star after an spell in charge of Harriers youth and reserve teams.

"I've also got a sneaky felling for Bristol Rovers as well," said the Aggborough boss, whose side opened their league campaign today with a home clash against Lincoln City, widely seen as relegation favourites.

Since arriving at Hull Molby has made a number of signings, including the capture of influential midfielder Richie Appleby from Kidderminster on a free transfer.

He has also splashed out £230,000 for striker Stuart Elliott from Motherwell.

A bumper gate is expected on Saturday, October 5, when Molby will be bringing his Hull side to Aggborough.

Britton's fancy for Hartlepool as promotion candidates follows their exploits last season when they missed out in the play-offs.

The Bristolian is also anticipating that Bristol Rovers will have a far better time this season after finishing second from bottom last term.

Their new boss Ray Graydon has made a number of new signings since taking over in April.

Britton, however, is eager for his own team to make an impression this season after Molby had led them to tenth spot last season.

On Tuesday Harriers travel to relegated Bournemouth and next Saturday face another tough test when they visit Rushden & Diamonds.

"If you are going to do anything in the league this season then you have to go to places like that and get points," said Britton.
