PLAYER-manager Tim Langford grabbed a late goal to earn Stourport a 1-1 draw against their Dr Martens Premier Division visitors Halesowen last night.
The former Kidderminster and Telford striker then admitted that he felt the fittest he had been for a long time -- despite being 36 years old.
Langford said: "Our fitness levels were superb allowing us to finish the stronger.
"I have played the full 90 minutes for the last two games and am looking forward to the start of the season next Saturday."
A draw was no more than the Walshes Meadow outfit deserved after finishing strongly against a Halesowen side that must be considered as one of the favourites for promotion to the Nationwide Conference.
Langford capped another impressive display with a quality goal, jinking his way past two defenders before firing home from eight yards two minutes from time.
Richard Leadbetter, signed from Evesham, had opened the scoring for Halesowen on 29 minutes.
