POLICE are trying to reunite a ponytail found in Worcester with its owner.
Puzzled officers stumbled across the unusual find in an alleyway running behind Astwood Road at the end of last month.
The hairpiece is still at Worcester police station, and officers are now appealing for the owner to come forward and claim it.
It is described as long, brown and braided, and was found along with a half heart golden pendant inscribed with "daughter", and a collection of compact discs.
PC John Kerr said they were appealing for anyone who believes the items are theirs to come forward.
"Hairpieces are expensive, so if anyone believes it is theirs they should contact the police on 01905 723888, quoting c/609468," he said.
