JOURNAL weatherman Paul Damari had the fright of his life when his weather centre was struck by lightning.
He had predicted thunderstorms but didn't realise they'd have such an impact so close to his home in Claines where the strike fused all the electricity.
Paul said: "In 40 years of doing the weather, I've never experienced anything like that. It was very loud and the centre shook with the force of it. It's the closest I've ever been to lightning and another metre I'd have been struck by it myself."
