On July 9 in St Ambrose Hall, social secretary Edna Plimley-Rodriguez finalised forthcoming events, including the federation's annual lunch at The Mill Hotel on July 29, a sponsored walk in Wyre Forest on August 13, and the annual guild outing to Eastnor Castle and Ledbury, on August 20.
Vice-chairman Dorothy White, a florist at Hudsons, Blackwell Street, demonstrated the art of floral design and spoke about the preservation of flowers.
She then judged the competition, which was won by Vera Brown.
The next meeting at the hall is on September 10, starting at 10am, when visitors will be welcome. For details call Mrs White on 01562 754846.
