MAJOR water and road works in the town centre will be carried out at the same time to prevent the prolonged closure of a busy road.
Bromsgrove Road has been closed since the start of June while work to create a pedestrian crossing, put in new kerbs and block paving is carried out as part of £20 million development.
Severn Trent Water also needs to do work and the company has joined up with Ballast Construction to carry out the work at the same time.
Work will be finished by Monday.
