A NEWLY-formed Redditch Kickboxing club won two first places in their first competition.

Freestyle Kickboxing Association instructor Adam Laurence won the men's points and finished fourth in the men's continuous and 10-year-old Fay O'Donnall won continuous, finishing fourth in points at the Cheltenham Open.

Two students from the Arrow Vale High School-based club took second place in a competition against clubs from the UK, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy and Pakistan. Matthew Laurence, aged 14, was second and fourth in points and 11-year-old Kirsty Hanson was runner-up in continuous and fourth on points.

Nathan Brooks, aged 13, was third in continuous and Troy Baldwin, aged 12, third in points and fourth in continuous.
