KIDDERMINSTER hit back to earn a winning draw against Harborne in their Birmingham League Division One game at Chester Road.

The home side lost the toss and were asked to bat and it soon proved a good decision as Kidderminster slipped to 37-3 by the eighth over. But Gurdeep Kandola was joined by Mandeep Singh and they put on 78 when Singh was a judged leg before having scored 39.

Kandola had reached his half-century when he was run out for 51.

Kidderminster were now struggling, but Bradford raised the tempo and reached 45 as Kidderminster totalled 204.

Harbourne opened their innings with high hopes but like Kidderminster they soon found themselves bogged down just when things were looking good.

They set off at a great rate and had 58 runs on the board by the 15th over when they lost their first wicket. Singh took a catch off Mansell's bowling. Singh carried on the good work and he bowled Dyer making it 58-2. No 3 batsman Nayyer was to prove the thorn in Kidderminster's side his partnership with Moreton produced 57 runs before Moreton was stumped by Davies off Singh.

Harborne realised they were throwing the game away and started scoring at a higher rate and they added 30 before Davies stumped Masood for 14 to leave them 164-6

Kidderminster sensed victory but it was not to be as Harborne hung on at 190-8.
