POOL player Darren Selvey has hit the heights at The Hilton Hotel.
Evesham's top potter helped the Welsh squad to victory in the Embassy World Eight-Ball Championships in Blackpool.
Selvey, who is sponsored by The Anchor Inn, Fladbury, earned his first international call-up last year but faced his biggest test by the seaside when Wales competed against 13 other nations.
The Welsh booked their place in the final but they looked like having to settle for second again England when trailing 6-3.
However, they won the next five frames and Selvey and his teammates were left celebrating a memorable victory.
