CAN anyone solve the riddle of why Evesham is not so busy?
No excuse we can give because of foot and mouth, yet with so much to offer why is the Town so quiet!
If I did not know better I would have said a ban on visitors has been enforced!
Is it due to shopping malls on the outskirts of the town or is it because Evesham has been omitted from the local map by mistake!
As a proprietor of a recently established business in Bridge Street, I am greatly concerned that we are into June and the town on many days is deserted.
Is it not time for things to change!
Sundays would be perhaps a good place to start, with only a handful of shops open, no wonder people pass through and choose to visit other towns.
As can be seen now, if nothing is done then a number of established and new businesses will close and what will Evesham have to offer visitors and locals apart from pleasant walks by the river!
