PEOPLE working in the media are being urged to enter a new awards scheme.
Journalists working in all forms of media - including Press, radio, TV and Internet - as well as public relations executives and photographers, are invited to enter.
The West Midlands Media Awards are being run by the Birmingham Press Club with the awards ceremony due to take place on Wednesday, October 16.
Andrew Sparrow, chairman of Birmingham Press Club, said there had not been a media awards scheme in the region "for a number of years".
"We thought it high time there was!" he said.
"The Press Club is run by the media, for the media, and it is therefore logical that any recognition of the talent within the sector should be by the Press Club."
