DEAR EDITOR - A day of fun and surprises was enjoyed by everyone at the Royal British Legion Jubilee celebrations on Monday.
A daytime disco for children, colourful stalls for the town's organisations and all-day entertainment followed by a supper for the 60-years and over.
Thanks to Sue and her hardworking staff, also to Hazel, of the ladies section of the Legion, but the overall thanks must go to Rob Guest for his ingenuity to knit together the patchwork day to a wonderful success for all age groups.
The firework display gave it a sparkling finale.
