ALLAN Donald will make his Frizzell County Championship Division Two debut for Worcestershire in their match against Durham which opens at Riverside tomorrow.

The South African pace ace returns to Championship action after a 21-month break since he closed his Warwickshire career with 536 first-class wickets to his credit.

It will be the only Championship game in his 16-day stint as a temporary replacement for Andy Bichel who is on international duty with Australia.

So far Donald has appeared in three one-day fixtures for the County -- a win against Yorkshire, a Benson and Hedges Cup semi-final defeat by Essex and a rained-off Norwich Union Division One clash against Leicestershire last Sunday.

With Stephen Peters still recovering from a broken thumb, Donald's inclusion is expected to be the only change since Bichel signed off in a 304-run Championship victory over Gloucestershire at Bristol.

New Road Director of Cricket Tom Moody said: "Donald is obviously the ultimate professional and he'll be keen to put a good performance together and help us win up north.

"It's nice to get back to Championship cricket. We come off an excellent win against Glou-cestershire."

The County, now in fourth place, face a Durham side languishing near the bottom after three defeats and two draws.
