A WORCESTER super-slimmer, who kidded herself that she liked being big, has shed an amazing six stone.

Liz Langan, from Welland, near Malvern lost the weight over 22 months after signing up to a slimming club.

"I had been a member at Slimming World before and given up, but I decided to go back," said Mrs Langan.

"I told myself that I liked being big but I had arthritic problems.

"But suddenly I just thought to myself that I had to lose weight and keep it off for life."

She revealed that she can now run up and down the stairs, something that she would never have been able to do before.

"I feel so much better and have loads more energy now and don't have trouble getting up and down the stairs like I used to."

Mrs Langan stressed that she will still attend the classes, despite reaching her target weight.

"I need to keep going most weeks so that I don't slip back."
