THE county's ability to provide businesses with prime real estate will be under the spotlight at the Property Show 2002 being held at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, this week.

The Worcestershire Economic Partnership is a joint initiative involving Worcestershire County Council, the six district councils, the Chamber of Commerce and the Learning and Skills Council.

The partnership will be showing developers and inward investors what commercial land and premises the county has to offer. Key development sites and commercial premises for all over Worcestershire will be showcased.

"There are a number of development sites and exciting new commercial premises in Worcestershire," said Carl Wyard, senior economic development officer with the county council.

"Recent large investments, such as Robert Wisemans Dairies and Atkins, are testament to the business opportunities within Worcestershire. And developments at the Malvern Hills Science Park and the Birmingham to Worcestershire Technology Corridor are generating a large amount of quality enquiries into Worcestershire as a business location."

Adrian Field, Malvern Hills District Council's representative on the partnership, said Worcestershire had a lot going for it.

"We aim to show attendees that with excellent infrastructure links, a highly and diversely skilled workforce, good educational establishments and support services, investing in Worcestershire, either from within the county or nationally, should be uppermost in their thoughts."

Companies wishing to seek advice on their relocation or expansion plans can contact the Worcestershire Economic Partnership on 01905 766375 or go to: www.investinworcestershire.org.uk.

The Property Show is in Hall 12 between 10am and 5pm on Wednesday, May 22 and Thursday, May 23.
