THE news that Throckmorton Airfield is destined to be used as an asylum seekers' holiday camp should come as no surprise, given the sheer arrogance of a government that doesn't give a hoot about the wishes of the people.
Add this to a spineless, useless Foreign Secretary incapable of standing up to the French as they allow hordes of so-called refugees to board trains at Calais, and we have a recipe for disaster.
In case Peter Luff is unaware, there is indeed a "more suitable site" for these people. It is situated at Sangatte in France.
This is where they came from, prior to entering England, and this is to where they should be immediately returned.
