SOME of the traditional left-wing MPs have been saying that HM The Queen Mother's will should be made public and that inheritance tax should be paid on her estate. I would totally disagree.
In the first instance, I don't see why anyone's will should be made public, and second, I would say that none of us should be liable for inheritance tax. One's income is taxed at source and that should be it.
Should someone wish to leave any saved money to someone, then they should be free to do so with the full knowledge that a further loss to the Exchequer will not be required.
In my view, inheritance tax is totally unfair.
