A FREE seminar will point the way for companies in the two counties to trade with one of the most progressive countries in Europe.
Of the three Baltic states, Lithuania is Britain's largest market, with 2001 exports valued at £137m.
A trade seminar is being organised in Worcester, by the Consulate of Lithuania, on Friday, May 24, to showcase the many importing and exporting opportunities. Lithuanian officials will also be present.
"We are encouraging as many businesspeople as possible to attend," said Keith Stokes-Smith, Honourary Consul to Lithuania.
"The UK is already one of the leading importers of Lithuanian products, helped by the fact that Lithuania's labour costs are among the lowest in central and eastern Europe.
Eric Brown, director of international trade at the Chamber of Commerce Herefordshire and Worcestershire, said there were numerous export and investment opportunities in the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
"It is an attractive, forward-thinking region and anything which helps create international trade opportunities between us is welcomed," he added.
The seminar is in Bamboo, Cripplegate Park, Worcester, from 1.45pm to 3.45pm. To reserve a place, call 01905 424406.
