JOAN Greening's farce Contin-ental Quilt is being performed by St John's Players at the Swan Theatre, Worcester, from Tues-day, May 21 to Saturday, May 25.
The play follows the antics of Mike, whose plans of relaxing with his girlfriend are shattered when brother Dick arrives on his doorstep having been kicked out of his own home by his wife.
Dick had been discovered by his wife in the bedroom of a beautiful neighbour, Angela, who had been demonstrating her new continental quilt.
Mike's peace is further disrupted when more family members and friends arrive in states of despondency and despair, leaving Mike to sort everything out.
Happily he helps to reconcile his formidable mother and hen-pecked father, encourages a beetle-keeping neighbour and a sex-mad spinster to form an interesting alliance and is left in the company of three attractive women!
Spokesman Ray Archer said: "Continental Quilt has all the right ingredients for a good farce and we have a very good track record for this type of play. We have a very strong cast and rehearsals are going well. It's a great laugh from beginning to end."
Tickets are from £6-£8 from the Swan box office on 01905 27322.
