Comedian Freddie Starr will be treading the boards at the Malvern Theatres on Saturday, May 25.

With a career spanning over three decades, Freddie began not as a comic but as a singer at the famous Cavern Club in his home town of Liverpool. During the 1960s he sang there alongside such greats as the Beatles and Gerry and the Pacemakers before turning to comedy.

His manic brand of laughter-inducement won him many fans from all generations and he still packs out theatres nationwide.

As well as a passion for playing to live audiences, Freddie has also enjoyed a successful television career, starring in two Audiences with Freddie Starr and appearing a record ten times on the Des O'Connor Show. He has also sold half a million copies of his first album After The Laughter.

He will be appearing in the Festival Theatre at 8pm. Tickets are £16.50, and available from 01684 892277.
