THE County Air Ambulance benefited by £322 when golfers competed at the Worcestershire Golf Club on the May Day holiday.
With a shot gun start from all tees with teams of four competing for a men's, ladies or a mixed team prize. The winners were ladies - P Fletcher (who organised the event), I Mackie, B Mitchell and A Emery. Mixed - D O J Radley, D Stephenson and J Paget. Men - P Bellamy, B Jones, P Butler and R Lewis.
The first hole in one of the year was made by Anita Leaver on April 23 at the eighth hole in a medal round.
The Worcestershire Lady Veteran Golfers Association held their spring meeting at the Worcestershire Golf Club on Wednesday, May 8.
The host club players put in excellent results with first place to Marg Horrobin and second place to Heather Morgan in the Silver Division.
Mary qualified for the Championship semi-final knockout round.
