MANOR Park Outdoor Bowls Club has played five matches so far this season and although there have been very good results on several individual rinks, the club has not won a match overall.

They have been more successful in county competitions where Gill Lloyd and Dorothy Thomas beat the Hewell team in the first round of the Over 55 Pairs and the two men's teams won in the first round of the Lincoln Unit Trust. Les Thomas and Roger Orgill led their teams to victory against Worcester Bowls Club. Unfortunately Gill Lloyd's team was beaten by two shots when they played Viv Hall's team at Broadway in the County Fours.

The Indoor Bowls Club at Manor Park has started the summer leagues. These are well attended and there is still room for more participants at the casual roll ups on a Wednesday morning at 9.45am where new bowlers are welcome.

Regular bowlers are looking forward to their first home match on Tuesday against Mid-Glos, starting at 2.30pm.
