CLASSIC American magazine are taking over Shakespeare County Raceway, Stratford-upon-Avon, for a weekend of on-strip and off-strip fun and action.

The sleepy Warwickshire countryside will reverberate to the sound of some of the most outrageously powerful cars the UK has to offer this weekend.

On track, there'll be Run What You Bring/Street Legal drag racing all weekend for everyone to have a blast down the strip in their own machines.

The National Street Car Challenge will be taking on all-comers to find the fastest street-legal car, so come and have a go if you think you're hard enough!

If you don't fancy rac-ing, there'll be a huge show 'n' shine field for the concours crew, with plenty of prizes to be won, including the new, prestigious Club Participation trophy for the keenest club.

There's a DJ tomorrow and Saturday night in the SCR clubhouse, with live music in the marquee on Saturday night.

That's right, the Horsepower Cruise on Saturday evening will be winding its way through Stratford and out to a quiet country pub for a bite to eat on a warm Spring evening - and proving that some of those fast cars really are streetable!

There's also a free complimentary shuttle minibus to and from Stratford-Upon-Avon for the less auto-orientated! Spacious free grandstands just yards away from the strip, clean showers and toilets, and a smooth strip with a sticky launch pad run by a top professional crew.

Entry price is £10 per person per day, while a weekend ticket is £18 or £15 with the voucher clipped from the May issue of Classic American.

Run What You Brung costs £10 per day or £15 per weekend. You must produce your driving li-cence to sign on. All racers should have a crash helmet, and all cars should have a radiator overflow catch can and a seat belt if originally fitted.
