A BRIGHT future has been predicted for a seven-year-old Kidderminster disco star who has wiped the dancefloor with the opposition in every competition she has entered.
Aimee Laux, a student at Expressions Dance School - based at Holy Innocents Community Centre in Stourport Road - has won all four of her competitions despite only taking up disco dancing last September. seven-year-old Aimee Laux, who has scooped a haul of trophies since she took up disco dancing.
"She's a little star," said Kerry Maddocks, who runs the school, which also has branches in Halesowen and Walsall, in partnership with Paula Egan.
"Aimee sits, watches, listens and learns and tries her hardest all the time. She puts her heart and soul into every performance and her personality shines."
The St Ambrose First School pupil, who lives in Lorne Street, Kidderminster, has won all four of her competitions since she began entering in January.
The biggest, and most recent, was at Newport in Wales when she beat off competition from more than 50 children in her age group.
She has also qualified for the finals of the Cheltenham Gold Cup, a disco dancing competition held in Stratford in July which will feature competitors from across the country.
"Aimee had never, ever danced before she started coming to the school," added Kerry.
"Now she comes in three times a week and most of them only come in once a week.
"She's going to make it. A talent like that is one in a million."
