THE headteacher of a Kidderminster school has cycled the length of Britain to raise money for a new school minibus.
Tom Revell, 50, of Sladen Middle School, made the mammoth 938-mile trip from Land's End to John O'Groats in just nine days with Tim Jones, deputy headteacher at a Redditch school, and is on course to raise about £1,000.
"It was a physical challenge as well as a mental one," he said.
"But the weather was absolutely fantastic. We had 40 minutes of rain on day four but when we got into Scotland it was clear blue skies all the way.
"And there were no pulled muscles."
