IT appears that Jon Burgess, Robert Brierley and other apologists for bloodsports remain in denial about the nature of their chosen pastime.
Foxes are not classed as pests. The brevity of the hunters' knowledge of animal ecology and its environs is astounding and is matched only by failure of their imagination to understand the suffering inflicted on their prey.
Jon Burgess mocks the nationwide exposure of artificial earths - yet there's video evidence of these man-made breeding chambers and, in some cases, the illegal dumping of carcases for feeding foxes.
It's pointless to kill a fox by any means, as fox numbers are self-regulating. The hunters interference in natural processes increases fox numbers.
The wild animals of this country are not there for the ignorant and callous to continue to persecute for entertainment. Most people cherish life, whatever the species.
