THE University of Gloucestershire will be the venue of a performance of song and dance routines from famous West End musicals and Hollywood movies at a free event on Saturday.
The extravaganza, called Musical Mania, is a toe-tapping tribute to the movies and musicals of the 20th century and features music from the shows Cats, Oliver, and Jesus Christ Superstar, as well as from the films Save the Last Dance, Moulin Rouge, and Austin Powers.
Those singing and dancing in the show include members of the University of Gloucestershire Dance Company, Cheltenham Youth Dance Company, Celtic Circle, Variations Dance Company, and the University of Gloucestershire Choir and Musical Productions.
Antonia Coles, a member of UGDC, said: "The production aims to have something for everyone with acoustic singing, harmonies, group and solo dance performances - old time favourites and toe-tapping modern numbers - tap, modern Irish and contemporary dancing."
The show takes place on the Park Campus with performances at 3pm and 7.30pm. Seats can be reserved by calling 07712 433978.
