AN angelic glass sculpture has been unveiled in the grounds of a clinic to bring a heavenly touch to patients' surroundings.
Park Attwood Clinic in Trimpley, which treats people with conditions such as cancer and arthritis and uses art in therapy, is now displaying "figure in a landscape" by a Bewdley sculptor who used to work at the clinic. sculptor Roger Finnigan with his creation at a Trimpley clinic.
Roger Finnigan, 49, from Lax Lane, kept in touch with his former colleagues and his life-size model of an angel, on permanent loan, was inaugurated on Saturday.
"It's an unusual piece. It was made using a new technique of laminating that colours the glass between two layers and it will change and interact with the seasons and the climate.
"As you approach it becomes more transparent and some of the details more visible."
Mr Finnigan added: "The clinic wants to make the very special site available for artists to use for exhibiting - permanently, long-term or medium-term.
"It's an eight acre site - some woodland and some open - with dramatic views."
