WOLVERHAMPTON Wanderers star Lee Naylor delighted Ferndale Youth by spending about four hours at their presentation night on Saturday.
The VIP guest presented trophies to almost 180 of the club's players as well as various special awards and also signed autographs.
Girls team manager Dave Nevey was full of praise for the Division One club's left-back and said: "The evening was a massive success and for the players a special evening turned into a spectacular finale to their season thanks to Lee.
"He was magnificent throughout, he listened with interest to what each manager had to say about each player and presented every trophy to the players in such a way that it made them feel important.
"For me it was a player snubbing all those critics who you hear over and over again say how high-paid players never give anything back to the young players in the community.
"Lee was a great ambassador for Wolves and an example that other professional clubs should take note of."
