CHADDESLEY Corbett were losing finalists in the Worcester Nursing Cup for the second year in a row as they lost 4-2 to Tolladine Sports at Worcester City.

In front of a vociferous crowd, they found themselves 2-0 down within 20 minutes against the Worcester League Premier leaders after Jason Beck took advantage of hesitant defending.

Chaddesley bounced back when Craig Pratt hooked in a superb effort from the edge of the box but Tolladine put one hand on the cup by scoring a third goal shortly before the break.

The second half belonged to Chaddesley who played fine football with Sean Williams and Richard Burton having fine matches in midfield.

Chaddesley's enthusiastic striker Ian Vogel scored a great goal to make it 3-2 but Sports scored a fourth at the death.

Brintons Athletic 1 Chaddesley 5

Chaddesley recorded a sensational win over their local rivals in West Midlands League Division One South after overwhelming them in the first half.

Up against several former players, all the goals arrived in the opening period with Craig Webb latching onto a fine Ashley Phillips through-ball to put Chaddesley ahead on two minutes.

Webb scored a second after Pratt's good run, only for Brintons to hit back through Andy Baylis.

But two goals from Andy Shuck and a fine R Burton effort put Chaddesley in a commanding position at the break.

Brintons improved slightly after the break though a John Maffei missed penalty added to their woes.

Sedgley 4 Chaddesley 1

The heavy end-of-season run-in finally caught up with Chaddesley at the league champions.

Chaddesley fielded three players with injuries but were still unlucky to go 1-0 down on 20 minutes through a Chris Hunter strike.

But a hamstring injury to Matt Baynton meant keeper Anthony Shuck switched to defence and C Knight played in goal.

Brett Love put Sedgley 2-0 up on half-time but Chaddesley's good display was rewarded with a Vogel strike.

The visitors lost skipper Phillips with a groin problem, leaving them with 10 men, but the defence was solid with Gavin Knight and Brian Burton outstanding.

Two late goals from Lee Harris and Ashley Causer put the result beyond doubt for Sedgley.
