BEWDLEY Town secured the West Midlands League Division One South runner-up spot on Tuesday after a 1-0 win over local rivals Chaddesley Corbett.
The prolific Grant Gibbs scored the only goal to decide a hard-fought contest as Bewdley leapt over Hinton to finish behind champions Sedgley.
Wayne Payton, who forms the management team with brother Craig and Paul Brothers, said: "Our aim was a top-five finish so we're over the moon.
"It's good for the area and gives us lots of confidence. We hope to make a few new signings in the summer."
Chaddesley finished in ninth position.
