MOTORSPORT: Dunley driver Elton Sheldon scored his first points in the 2002 Volkswagen Racing Cup on Saturday at Oulton Park with a brace of top-10 places.
The 42-year-old, who qualified sixth on the grid in his Beetle RSi, collected eighth position in the first of the day's races before slipping to 10th in the next contest after a spin.
Stockport's Steve Walker was a double winner on the day and leads the championship.
Sheldon is set to race at Donington Park on Sunday in a non-championship event to support the visiting DTM German touring cars.
