A CARPET company's expansion plans are facing rejection by Wyre Forest District Council.
The authority's planning (development control) committee is being urged to reject a scheme by Carpets of Kidderminster which wants to erect two production and storage sheds on vacant land near its Wilden Lane site, Stourport.
The site north of Wilden Industrial Estate would employ 56 people with 12 lorries expected each day.
Officers are recommending refusal because they say it would encroach into a "strategically important and sensitive part " of the Green Belt and set an undesirable precedent.
