ATHLETICS: Wyre Forest athletes will be going for gold at the Midlands' biggest championship event for people with disabilities on Sunday.
They take on the npower active Regional Athletics Competition at Birmingham's Alexander Stadium from 10am.
A record turn-out of 450 athletes with physical, learning and visual disabilities is expected.
U-15s, U-17s, U-20s and senior teams will contest 95 track and 78 field events, including a new 40m sprint for dwarf athletes.
Junior winners will qualify for the National Junior Championships at Blackpool in July.
The event has been organised by the English Federation of Disability Sport's West Midlands branch.
Worcestershire Special Olympics, Kidderminster, will have 21 athletes vying for medals.
