ABOUT 900 children and many more spectators will converge on Stourport for the annual Worcestershire Youth Games on Sunday.
All six local authorities across the county will be represented in seven sports, including athletics, netball, rugby, hockey and girls' football.
Wyre Forest District Council host the games for eight to 16-year-olds which will pay tribute to the Queen's Golden Jubilee and Commonwealth Games.
The teams will represent various countries and the event will be opened by a Queen look-alike.
Olympic gold medallist Stephanie Cook will help lead the opening ceremony at Stourport Sports Club from about 10.15am.
Due to the large numbers expected, The Kingsway is closed to traffic between Stourport High School and Burlish Top Nature Reserve from 9am until 6.30pm.
Admission to the games is free.
