GARDENING CLUB: The Gardening Club held the third in a series of monthly meetings last Wednesday. The members enjoyed a demonstration and talk on the planting and care of hanging baskets. Drawing on their past experience of running a plant nursery and of producing hanging baskets on a commercial scale, Maggie and Peter Chamberlain entertained the large audience and showed how to create baskets for all seasons, full of colour and variety.
The next meeting will be at 7.30pm in the Villages Hall, Bishampton, on June 5 when Mrs Betty Foster will speak on A Fool's Guide to Gardening. The meeting will be open to members and visito
