ABANDONED trolleys, a car exhaust and an old Severn Trent sign were just some of the findings during a parish council litter pick.
Six members of St Peter's Parish Council and residents joined forces to collect rubbish from the estate's playgrounds and walkways.
The members originally arranged to do the litter pick, organised in conjunction with the Duckworth Worcestershire Trust, themselves, after no one offered to help.
But after signs sprung up around the estate and the plea spread through word-of-mouth, 25 adults and children went along to help out yesterday, filling 25 bags full of litter.
"The people that came along showed great community spirit, and a great willingness to get the job done," said Roger Knight, vice-chairman of the parish council.
"There was a great sense of pride in the amount of litter recovered."
Glove-wearing helpers split into three groups and used litter pickers to collect the rubbish - including empty vodka bottles, cans, plastic bottles and paper wrappers.
"We're lucky the weather was good," said Mr Knight.
"There was a really good spirit around."
