DEAR Editor - It is a disappointment for campaigners for speed limits to be clarified in the Old Birmingham Road, Monument Lane, Twatling Road areas of Lickey to now find further confusion with the new road signs which have been installed.

One is entitled to question which Department of Silly Signs authorised contractors to install 40mph speed limit signs on the road directly below speed de-restriction signs.

It is hoped whoever is at fault will rectify this mistake quickly before an accident occurs.

We may live in the "sticks", but as council tax payers paying heavily for local services, we deserve better than this.
