Residents of Wootton Wawen are being invited to feast on fabulous food during an all day barbecue on Monday, June 3.

Youngsters will also be able to take part in some fun games and there will a celebration for adults until late.

A beacon will be lit at dusk to mark the occasion and anyone who lives, works or goes to school in Wootton is invited.

The event is free but people are asked to bring a picnic or food to be barbecued, together with drinks, tables and chairs.

St Peter's Church will be holding a beautiful display of wedding dresses through the ages from the June 1-3 and visitors will be given the history of each garment.

To accompany the exhibition, villagers will be decorating the church with floral displays.

On Sunday, June 2, from 3pm, St Peter's Church will be holding an Ecumenical Jubilee Service, followed by a cup of tea.
