A NEW College student is overjoyed at clinching second place in a national make-up competition for creating a look based on 1920s Hollywood.
Jo Mitchell, who studies theatrical and media make-up at the Peakman Street campus, won £100 for creating the striking look, which combined hair, costume and ornamentation.
The competition was organised by the Federation of Holistic Therapies, which sets industry standards and ensures the best practice for therapists and their clients.
Jo's qualifications could lead to a career as a make-up artist in theatre or television, work in the hairdressing or fashion industries, video or special effects.
