The White Hart Premier side took on the Rubery Sheldon at home on a running green and started off well with Mick Wigginton (21-17), Martin Onions (21-16), Dave Kings (21-16) and Dave Edwards 21-18 getting the Hart off to a good start.

Further wins by Tony Wedgbury (21-14), Bill Radford (21-17), Dave Broome (21-19), Colin Hack (21-19) and an excellent card by Ray Barnett (21-6) ensured the Hart ran out winners by 34 shots maintaining their excellent form at home.

Heart of England Seniors, after drawing away the previous week, made sure of their points by securing a good home win when the King George VI visited the Hart.

The following day the Heart of England over 60's side played a strong Austin British Legion, managing to secure a well deserved home win.

The Sunday Northfield & District Seniors also continued their excellent home form by beating Kings Norton Ex. Serv by 34 shots - winning six out of eight games.

HDA Bowling Club star Simon Thursfield did the double at the Batchley club's 2001 Trophy Presentation evening.

Thursfield won the Singles Cup and 2 Woods Singles Trophy.

Malcolm Woodward and Noel McQuillan won the 2 Woods Pairs and Norman Batchelor and Pete McHugh the 4 Woods Pairs.

Stan Cooper, Ken Styler and Barry Hay won the Brian Gibbons Memorial Trophy and Cooper, Les Bennett and Ron Roberts the Ralph Gibbons Memorial Trophy.

Rick Sippitts was named Most Improved Player.
