A well deserved fourth place was claimed by Redditch Swimming Club after a second round gala in the Nuneaton and District Swimming League.

A storming swim by Leanne Savage gave her first place in the girls 10yr 1L breaststroke. Suzanne Britt came third in the 1L free with Nicola Strange second in the back and fly.

They were joined by Jessica Nice for the medley relay where they finished second and with Emma Green replacing Savage for the freestyle, the girls triumphed. Dan Ruckwood took the 10yr boys 1L back and touched home second in the 1L free. Ben Rogers swam breast and Daniel Gatehouse fly.

For the 12yr girls Alex Munsey powered home in both her individual swims, the 2L back and 2L fly, while Vicki Crisp claimed fourth in both the 2L breast and free. With their younger team mates they finished fourth in the freestyle relay and second in the medley. Sam Holtom finished third in both the boys 12yr 2L breast and free. Phillip Bowes swam fly and Jamie Walker back.

Jenna Pardy, Sophie Parkins, Amy Goddard and Bethany May swam in the 9yr girls mixed medley and freestyle relays, whilst Jack Eaves, William Bowes, Phillip Gifford and Jake Hopkins swam for the boys.

Another first came in the 11yr girls 2L breaststroke, this time from Lucy Edwards, Nicola Perry came fourth in the back with Rachel Savage third in the fly and fourth in the free. The girls came second in both relays.

Liam Chapman came fourth in the 11yr boys breaststroke, Simon Whitmore swam fly and free with Ruckwood swimming up an age in the 2L backstroke.
